2017 Audi A4 Review Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh Audi led the way to turbocharging, fitting most of its cars with turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines about a decade before everyone else followed suit, and the make's latest such engine will leave few drivers feeling the need for more cylinders. The new engine, rated for 252 horsepower (up from 220)... Comparison vehicle: 2016 Lexus IS |
2016 Lexus IS 200t Review Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh With 241 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, the new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine in the Lexus IS 200t has much more competitive specs than the 204-horsepower, 185-pound-foot 2.5-liter V6 it replaces, and more power than the 208-horsepower, 258-pound-foot Mercedes 2.0T in the Infiniti Q50. In reality, it feels about... Comparison vehicle: 2016 Infiniti Q50 |

2014 Infiniti Q50 Review (first drive) Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh The regular Q50 retains the G37's 328-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine. The big six produces a lower volume of somewhat higher quality noises in the new car. While it might be a match for the V6s in the Cadillac and Lexus, the boosted sixes in the Audi and BMW can blow... Comparison vehicle: 2014 Lexus IS |

2014 Lexus IS 350 F Sport Review Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh Lexus hasn't changed the engines as part of the IS's 2014 revisions. So they continue to offer the same pair of V6 engines introduced with the second-generation sedan, a 2.5-liter good for 204 horsepower and a 3.5-liter good for 306. While the smaller engine adequately moves the IS, it's far... Comparison vehicle: 2013 Cadillac ATS |

2009 Lexus IS Pros and Cons Member5576 Initial acceleration leaves a bit to be desired but in everyday driving is pretty decent. Went from an Acura TSX to this car and noticed the instant lack of torque, but is definitely willing to pull strong in the 60-80 range. |

Nice Car But Small 2009 Lexus IS Pros and Cons mitchell9353 Excellent engine; powerful. Transmission is quick shifting and intuitive. Automatic downshifts when descending hills are a bit intrusive but okay once you're used to them. Doesn't hunt for gears on grades. |

2010 Lexus IS Pros and Cons Member481 The 204hp 6 is anemic, does not belong in this chassis. Paddle shifted auto feels like it takes seconds to shift, and downshifting is useless. Also lighting up the odo and speedo at 75mph to "warn" you is obnoxious. |

2006 Lexus IS Pros and Cons A member in California, United States 306hp, 6 speed auto w/paddle shifters, 0-60 in 5.2 seconds, yet almost 25 mpg average...what more can you ask for? |

2002 Lexus IS Pros and Cons Member3559 Smooth straight 6. Ample power. Decent low end torque, with a strong pull to redline. Some coarseness in cold weather. Very crisp and smooth transmission. Decent manu-matic (for 2002) with quick shifts. Lets you rev to redline. Bad: no 1st year launch. |

2008 Lexus IS Pros and Cons A member in Utah, United States Absolutely love the power of the engine. It has a nice purr when revved but not loud at all. Automatic transmission is smooth. |

2008 Lexus IS Pros and Cons A member in New York, United States The IS250 could use and extra 40-50hp and 50ft lbs of torque. IS350 is excellent |

2007 Lexus IS Pros and Cons Member2639 IS350 has incredible power...0 to 60 in about 5.3 seconds. Moves when you want it to move. |

2004 Lexus IS Pros and Cons Member2176 Among the smoothest Ive driven. A bit hard to get into reverse, but positive gear lock in with the reassuring click-bump of this manual powertrain sounds great. |
|
2002 Lexus IS Pros and Cons Member1 Crisp throttle response. Low end acceleration with plenty left at the top. |
|
2008 Lexus IS Pros and Cons A member in Quebec, Canada Weak low-end torque, lackluster acceleration. |
