I bought this car because of the front seat leg room. I'm 6' 5" tall with a 36" inseam. This is the first car I've ever owned that I fit in perfectly. The cloth bucket seats are very comfortable. Every control is in easy reach even though I have the seat as far back as it can go. The tilt and telescoping steering wheel is great. This is the first mid size sedan since I've owned. It has more interior room than a 1999 Buick LeSabre I owned 10 years ago. see full Nissan Altima review

2015 Nissan Altima Powertrain: Pros

The engine is powerful enough to get the car moving even with the AC on. It doesn't accelerate like a typical 4 cylinder. see full Nissan Altima review

2014 4dr Sedan 182-horsepower 2.5L I4
CVT FWD
CVT is a love hate relationship for most. I grew up with 4/5 speed auto slushboxes from Acuras and Fords of the early 90's and most will say they want to feel the car shift to the next gear. Until I came to the Altima CVT. For a 2.5 cylinder engine, it provides enough oomph to get going, although I do miss the 6 cylinder engines of yesteryear. That rubberband feeling that everybody keeps talking about, don't experience it here. I enjoy the feeling of the car that keeps on accelerating smoothly without those abnoxious shifts. On steep hills the rpms stay under 2K. Torque this engine does not have, but as a commuter car with the amenities, fuel milage, good powertrain (18K mi so far) no issues and acts like new. see full Nissan Altima review

2014 4dr Sedan 182-horsepower 2.5L I4

The CVT takes a lot of getting used to. The CVT is too eager to reduce engine rpm after the engine rpm is increased above 3000 rpm. I will need to learn how to adjust my foot pressure on the accelerator pedal to avoid this. I'm hoping this won't be too difficult. see full Nissan Altima review
