2009 Nissan Rogue Seat Room and Comfort: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2010 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4
CVT FWD
Not great, not awful. Compared to my previous BMW 535i, it's awful, but for the class of vehicle it's OK for shorter distances, which is mostly what I use it for. see full Nissan Rogue review
2010 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4
6-speed shiftable CVT AWD
holds my three young kids comfortably, like the flat foot room. I don't like the front seats, I find them too flat and I don't like that they dont tilt back like my TSX see full Nissan Rogue review
2010 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4
CVT AWD
Picked up one of my fat friends while on the test ride and had him ride in the back. Him and his wife were very comfortable. Lots of leg and foot room. see full Nissan Rogue review
2010 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4
CVT AWD
Lots of leg room and the drivers seat is very adjustable and comfortable. I have wide shoulders and the leather seats are very comfortable for me. see full Nissan Rogue review
2008 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4
CVT AWD
With leather, power seats allows for height adjustment to LOWER the seat. The non-power seats in the S (not SL) have no height adjustment and are far too high for an average male driver. Wide enough to fit an average 6 ft male. see full Nissan Rogue review
2008 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4

Great for long trips and heated seats see full Nissan Rogue review

What Our Members Are Saying about the Powertrain of the 2009 Nissan Rogue

2009 Nissan Rogue Powertrain: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2009 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4
CVT AWD
The CVT is a fascinating concept, and is "fun" to drive. Normal automatic transmissions are very reliable, but EXPENSIVE when they need repair. My hope is that a CVT will be more reliable over time, as it has like 10% of the moving parts. see full Nissan Rogue review
2009 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4
CVT FWD
Better acceleration than the 4 cylinder Rav4 or CRV see full Nissan Rogue review
2008 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4
CVT AWD
VERY good for the 4 cylinder. CVT works very nicely. see full Nissan Rogue review
2008 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4
6-speed shiftable CVT FWD
CVT transmission reduces drive train loss. see full Nissan Rogue review
2008 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4
CVT FWD
The CVT transmission was responsive and acceleration was good for a 4 cylinder. see full Nissan Rogue review
2008 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4
6-speed shiftable CVT AWD
A good balance of power & performance, cvt and economy see full Nissan Rogue review
2008 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4
CVT FWD
Best in class when comparing other 4-cylinder engines. Much more torque, responsive, quiet. see full Nissan Rogue review
2009 Nissan Rogue Powertrain: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2010 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4
6-speed shiftable CVT AWD
engine is noisier and rough sounding than i expected. CVT always takes getting used to as it keeps revs at same level as you accelerate. see full Nissan Rogue review
2009 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4
CVT AWD
quirky trans, underpowered see full Nissan Rogue review
2008 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4

I feel sometimes there is a problem with the transmission because of the way it performs sometimes has clunking noises when accelerating or taking foot off accelerator see full Nissan Rogue review
2008 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4
6-speed shiftable CVT FWD
