Introduction

The Versa is an excellent choice if you are looking for a small fuel efficient vehicle that can actually fit four adults comfortably. However, interior features are cheaper than other subcompacts.

Why the 2012 Nissan Versa?

Rear seat room & comfort

Only subcompact we test drove that could actually fit four adults. More rear leg room than many midsize cars.

Fuel economy

Better than EPA estimates. Averaging 38 mpg combined - 42 mpg + on hwy.

Driving position & visibility

Seating is 6-9" higher than most subcompacts, so excellent visibility in all directions. Excellent headroom.

Why Not the 2012 Nissan Versa?

Interior styling

Very basic interior with hard plastic. No armrest available - have to buy one on Ebay.

Audio & nav systems

Nav system is subpar. It doesnt find many locations and I have to use my smartphone to punch in the address.

Handling

More road corrections than other cars at highway speeds, due to high profile and light weight. Strongly recommend you test drive on the highway before purchase.
