Great V8 exhaust note and instant acceleration comes at the cost of about 19 mpg in combined driving, versus 25 with my new car. That is a 30% increase. (the new car is 600 pounds lighter though...)
The engine is great, but the AT was not up to the task for the V8 FWD car. After rebuilding transmision, added an aux trans cooler, and this helped immensly.
