Other than external appearance, the Pontiac Vibe is a union made, made in USA Toyota Matrix, while the Toyota Matrix is a Canadian made, not yet union made [although the CAW is trying] car. Both are fantastic cars.
I like the lower body cladding as it protects the car from stone chips, then peeling paint, then rust in the most vulnerable areas.
Not as good as the Transport Canada ratings suggest. But overall, very good for a car that can haul so much cargo.
Firm around corners, firm over bumps, this is no Impala with a soft ride suspension - you will not get seesick in a Vibe! The Vibe is a good handling car.
Plastic pieces look and feel strong. Controls are well laid out. Driving position a bit unusuual, but fits me well - I like the seatback up nice and straight - for those who like to recline the seatback - hard to position seat for pedals and steering w.
