4dr Hatch 130-horsepower 1.8L I4 5-speed manual FWD

Why the 2003 Pontiac Vibe?

Exterior styling

Typical Pontiac styling with a few more lines and jagged edges than the smoother Matrix...nice high backside sloping down to a sporty front.

Price or payments

A new Vibe is dirt cheap these days; great value for the money...a used Vibe is an even better bargain.

Feature availability

AWD availability; AC plug-in; fold-flat rear seats reveal a sturdy, hard plastic cargo area; fold-flat front seat becomes a laptop table for the busy commuter.

Why Not the 2003 Pontiac Vibe?

Materials & workmanship

Lots of minor things had to be fixed on warranty (loose wires, rattles, etc.)...the usual complaints that have plagued the Big 3 over the years. No major concerns or deal-breakers though.

Cargo capacity

Virtually no towing capacity and anything more than 4 adults is uncomfortable.
