Why the 2006 Scion xB?

Fuel economy

It is amazing. I get 30+ routinely without altering my driving habits, and 38 if I am on the highway a lot.

Exterior styling

City cars rock. Short wheelbase so parking is a breeze, nice and tall so visibility is great and there is lots of headroom. Very unique. You get a lot of attention in these cars.

Reliability & durability

Great experience with Toyota in the past, and great reviews. It is still fairly new (2006.5) but there are none of the annoying little problems many other new cars get.

Cargo capacity

The room inside with the back seats down is amazing. Enough to haul furniture, move, take along major sports equipment or sleep in.

Why Not the 2006 Scion xB?

Powertrain performance

Well, that great gas mileage is largely due to the small engine. Definitely not a speed machine.
