4dr Hatch 158-horsepower 2.4L I4 5-speed manual FWD

Why the 2008 Scion xB?

Exterior styling

I like the real boxy eterior styling, and I think it manages to look a little sporty without being to "tuner".

Powertrain performance

The 2.4L engine has plenty of power, and is easy to drive. The engine and transmission are responsive.

Reliability & durability

The 2.4L engine has been built for a long time, and I expect a good long life from this vehicle.

Why Not the 2008 Scion xB?

Handling

It rolls a lot in turns.

Quietness

It is a little noisy on the inside, but it is to be expected for a larger economy car.

Controls and instruments

The HVAC knobs feel cheap, and the amber color is dated. The center mounted gauges take a little getting used to.

Interior styling

The rear seat could use a center arm rest, and the front arm rest leaves a lot to be desired. Dash is bland.

Dealer practices

Manufacturer dealerships in general tend to be pushy, and the local Toyota/Scion dealership is no exception.
