I average 11.5l/100 km almost all the time, about two thirds distance on highway. Uses more petrol than a small car, but reasonable. My previous Audi A3 2.0T could run in circles around an FJ, but it couldn't take me on dirt roads etc. see full Toyota FJ Cruiser review

Any vehicle in this class is by no means a fuel sipper, the FJ averaged between 15 and 19 mpg. In 4wd during winter snowstorms it got about 13mpg. Not bad compared to some, but I grew to dislike this. see full Toyota FJ Cruiser review

Horrendous. Plain and simple. Adding insult to injury, premium fuel is recommended to get top performance. see full Toyota FJ Cruiser review
