2008 Subaru Impreza / WRX / Outback Sport Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by GoClick

Powertrain performance
I like the AWD and associated gadgetry, with a good set of winter tires driving on snow and ice is no big deal and even fun.
Handling
The car has great grip and just the right amount of safe under steer, the ride is sporting yet compliant on bumpy roads.
Brand reputation & image
I like that they are actively involved in motor sports and support non-factory teams. I also like their reliability and use of flat engines
Dealer practices
Some family members own them and have had fantastic experiences with the local dealership (Rally Subaru in Edmonton) and I must say it really has been very good, to say the least.
Price or payments
I feel the car is about 20% too expensive for what you get considering the poor quality of materials and low interior build quality.
Materials & workmanship
The paint on the exterior is very soft and scratches and chips very easily, the interior plastics and materials are all poorly wearing and look 5 years old at just over a year. The plastic-chrome also looks low-rent. A lot of the plastic trim has failed.
Exterior styling
It looks a bit like a Japanese version of the 2008 Chrysler Sebring, also the plasti-chrome looks very cheap.
