I needed to replace my painfully unfun Rogue and impractical (mostly due to weather) motorcycle with something fun and practical; strangely it was between a WRX and a MINI, I went with the WRX. My Rex is a tad bigger that I would like and the interior has some swoopy/cheesy/cheap plastic; but, and this is a mighty big but, she is uber fun to drive. There are very few AWD, manual transmission, sport sedans out there and this one came in at $30K. I don't think you can find a much better bang for your buck ratio. To add to it all, I have had my Rex for about a year and a half now and absolutely nothing has gone wrong with it. A short throw shifter, stiffer shifter bushings, and using four more PSI in the front tires than in the rear, about $100 worth of stuff, is all it took to make a good driving car great. Seriously the tire pressure bit eliminates almost all of the Rex's notorious understeer. If you want to be able to hit corners hard and get out in front of plodding burbcompoops you might want to consider a Rex.
