Along with the Honda Accord, Hyundai Sonata, and Volkswagen Passat, the Subaru Legacy has one of the roomiest rear seats in the segment. Rear seat passengers have a couple inches less knee room in the Ford Fusion. The rear seats in the Chrysler and Buick are tighter still.
This said, especially with the optional sunroof rear seat headroom is somewhat limited. People taller than six feet might come into contact with the headliner.
The top trim level includes rear air vents.

The front seats have an unusually high bulge just below my shoulder blades. This feels more odd than uncomfortable, at least to me. Partly depending on your height your experience might vary. These seats also provide very little lateral support, which admittedly isn't much of an issue given the limited grippiness of the tires.
I had no such qualms with the armrest on the door. It's wide and cushy.
In the front seats' favor, for 2015 Subaru has added fore-aft adjustability to the headrests, a rarity in recent moderately priced cars.

This is a key part of my choice for any vehicle. Driver's seat has adjustable front-back, up-down, seat tilt, elevation & lumbar support.
I also have a 1983 F250 HD pickup with an old-fashioned bench seat. This is actually more comfortable than the much fancier seat in my 2001 F150. However, both are very comfortable. The longest drive I ever took in my F150 was about 20 hours out of 24, where I covered 750 miles. I took frequent rest breaks, felt just fine at the end of this very long driving session.
