What Our Members Are Saying about the Real Gas Mileage of the Toyota FJ Cruiser

Toyota FJ Cruiser Real Gas Mileage: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2012 4dr SUV 260-horsepower 4.0L V6
5-speed automatic 4WD, part-time w/low range
I average 11.5l/100 km almost all the time, about two thirds distance on highway. Uses more petrol than a small car, but reasonable. My previous Audi A3 2.0T could run in circles around an FJ, but it couldn't take me on dirt roads etc. see full Toyota FJ Cruiser review

2008 4dr SUV 239-horsepower 4.0L V6

Any vehicle in this class is by no means a fuel sipper, the FJ averaged between 15 and 19 mpg. In 4wd during winter snowstorms it got about 13mpg. Not bad compared to some, but I grew to dislike this. see full Toyota FJ Cruiser review
