2007 Volkswagen Eos 2dr Hardtop conv.

turbocharged 200hp 2.0L I4 6-speed automated manual FWD

65000 mi Self repaired - The hardtop would not recline into the trunk. The issue was in the back seat area, the fabric between the rear side windows and the back window are pulled to fold in half in order for the roof to recline. Each side is on a pulley system, and eventually the string that is the pulley, stretches. This prohibits the fabric from folding in half which would then trigger the the top to go down. Simply pulling up the slack on the string and tying it off solved the problem.
