This necessitates frequent gear changing and torque converter unlocking to accommodate what is basically a flat road. Combination of six speeds with a loose torque converter provides... |

The Hot Hatch, Super-Sized 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan Pros and Cons Member699 I have a pair of 2.0T engines, in the Tig and in a 2009 GTI. One is very powerful, and one is extremely powerful. 'Nuff said. Funny how dofferent the gearing is-- the GTI is high-strung, never dropping below 2,400 rpm at cruising speeds, even in sixth. The Tiguan plays... |

Why a Tiguan? 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan Pros and Cons Member5801 The 6 speed triptronic paired with the 2.0L TSI engine is great. Smooth power delivery, pulls very well from 2,000rpm all the way to redline. Took a few weeks for the transmission to stop shifting so early in to 6th at low speed but the computer seemed to have figured... |

2013 VW Tiguan 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan Pros and Cons Member4019 Wanted a fun to drive sporty vehicle, yet needed good interior space since I have two teenage girls. Bounced between cars & CUV's. Found the Tiguan & was sold. Love the size, the spunk, acceleration, AND fuel economy. Wasn't sure about the leatherette seats, but after 4 months have come... |

2012 Volkswagen Tiguan Pros and Cons Member5431 Very good. Driving in the mountains, I like the high torque at only 1700 RPM which makes the engine feel like a bigger engine. New transmission is smoother accelerating than last years model. Turbo lag takes a little adjusting to but still lots of fun. |

2009 Volkswagen Tiguan Pros and Cons Member5284 Feels very quick. Smooth. A little bit of turbo lag under 1500 rpms. Easy cruise at 85-90mph. |
