Reviewed: 2004 Volvo S60

4dr Sedan turbocharged 300hp 2.5L I5 6-speed manual AWD

Why the 2004 Volvo S60?

Ride smoothness

I can adjust the suspension from Comfort to Sport to Advanced. No need to change shocks, springs.

Safety & braking

With large Brembo brakes it stops quickly and has Volvo safety.

Fuel economy

For AWD, 300 HP, I can still get 24 mpg.

Front seat support & comfort

The closest thing to my recliner at home...in some ways better because the front seats are heated.

Why Not the 2004 Volvo S60?

Rear seat room & comfort

Forget about rear leg room. If you have adults sitting back there, they will be uncomfortable unless you push the front seats way up to give them legroom. In which case the front driver passenger will be uncomfortable.

Cargo capacity

Not much when it comes to towing capacity and trunk is a decent size.

Reliability & durability

Volvo is not willing to take responsibility for the AWD system braking on the R. Many reported issues costing the customer over $2000 to repair.
