We bought the MDX primarily because of its size and the 3rd row seat, to accommodate our family needs. The secondary reason we purchased was due to its performance and road mannerisms. We loved our Lexus RX, but it didn't have a 3rd Row. GX was too expensive.
Heavy SUV, but the engine response is outstanding.
Great driving feel for a large SUV
Vehicle is wide, and it feels very room from boht the drivers' and passengers' sides.
Very smooth ride over a long drive (7-8 hours). Extremely comfortable
Feels like a car, but in position to see the whole road.
The fit and finish on this vehicle did/do not meet my expectations. I drove a Lexus RX prior, and the all-around build quality, fit and finish of that vehicle was far superior.
Well, it's AWD, and it's a heavy SUV. As a result, fuel economy is not great.
