4dr Sedan turbocharged 300hp 3.0L I6 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD

Why the 2007 BMW 3-Series?

Powertrain performance

Outstanding performance and acceleration from the twin-turbo V-6 engine. Power to pass at any speed. 6-speed automatic transmission is well matched to the engine. Manumatic shifting of the transmission is very useful when driving through mountains.

Handling

Stiffly sprung suspension prevents body lean in hard turns. Very little dipping or chassis movement at high speeds. Very secure and stable at high speeds. Driving the 335xi makes you feel like you are in a very solid stable car.

Safety & braking

Brakes are powerful and quiet. They will quickly reduce your speed with very natural pedal feel. The only drawback is the BMW brakes generate a fair amount of brake dust so you need to clean your wheels often.

Driving position & visibility

I like the leg room and head room and the adjustability of the power seats. I have the leather seats which are very comfortable. Sport seats with large side bolsters are available but I found them to be too narrow.

Materials & workmanship

I definitely recommend the leather interior for this car. The stereo is pretty good and I ordered my audio system with the IPod interface which works well. The exterior metallic paint is nice and the headlights have good coverage.

Why Not the 2007 BMW 3-Series?

Exterior styling

The styling is fairly bland and the car does not attract attention or second looks from other drivers. It is pretty ordinary in the styling department.
