Reviewed: 2007 BMW 3-Series

4dr Sedan turbocharged 300hp 3.0L I6 6-speed manual RWD

Why the 2007 BMW 3-Series?

Powertrain performance

Smooth power delivery, good torque curve, good manual transmission, but the clutch delay valve has got to go!

Handling

heavy car, but still nimble, handles very well, controlled body roll, secure handling (and stability control will save you if you get out of hand)

Safety & braking

Great braking performance, HUGE front and rear vented rotors stop this car on a dime

Driving position & visibility

Great seats, nice steering wheel, controls at hand, well thought out

Controls and instruments

good responsive steering, ergonomics is top notch with one exception: 1. iDrive (dont have it, hate it) and turn signal stalk (all bimmers have it, hate it)

Why Not the 2007 BMW 3-Series?
