Why the 2012 BMW 3-Series?

Exterior styling

The 2012 BMW 328i was redesigned this year and I like the fresh style and design. Plus, the car has a bigger cabin and the doors open 15 degrees more to allow a person an easier time of getting in and out.

Interior styling

Voice activate controls, command center and other controls within easy reach. No key needed,to unlock, lock, or start and operate, as long as the key is within proximity of the car.

Fuel economy

The new twin turbo I4 produces great fuel economy and performance. Estimated 36 highway is great for a performance car, I'll report my mpg after I've had it awhile. 3 different drive modes, (economy, comfort, sport) depending on your mood.

Handling

The new BMW handles like a dream, it really is the Ultimate Driving Machine as they proclaim.

Reliability & durability

I traded in a 2005 BMW with 92,000 miles on it, if the realiability of the old one is any indication to the experience I hope to have with the 2012, then I have little to nothing to worry about.

Why Not the 2012 BMW 3-Series?

Price or payments

The only down side to a BMW would be with the price tag, but if you demand economy and performance from a dependable and reliabile car, then there is a price.

I disagree with the assessment that the 2010 328xi BMW is a reliable car AFTER 100,000 miles. My car now has 103,000 miles. It has always been garaged and only driven for long distances on highways by a little old lady, literally. I've never carried heavy loads and I am gentle with brakes and acceleration. I was assiduous about keeping up with regular maintenance. Yet, between 101,000 and 103,000 miles I have spent $2,000 on transmission repair (why???), $1,600 on a new radiator, $400 on new oil filter gasketsand $600 on a new turn signal. And my brakes only lasted 35,000 miles and my air-conditioner is leaking. I babied this car with the intention of keeping it for 10 years, but I'd have been better off with a Honda!
