Why Not the 2002 Chevrolet Malibu?

Reliability & durability

Lots of small problems with the electrical system common to the Malibu/Grand AM/Alero class. 3 HVAC control units failed. Turn signal switch. DEXcool + Intake manifold gasket issues.

Handling

Lots of Body roll; mushy shocks and poor ride quality with all things considered. handling only a camry driver would be proud of even with a decent set of tires. Definate issues getting the car to feel like it was properly aligned.

Driving position & visibility

Without 4 way power seat; felt like I was sitting on the floor

Materials & workmanship

Generally poor build quality in the interior. Steering wheel showed signs of aging after 40k miles; button label worn off.
