9000 mi   Purchased 9/17/09 taken into Service 12/09 due to excessive white flakes coming from A/C vents told they received TSB bulletin 09-21-6 these are toxic flakes. The car has been into service 6 times and is in service Would like contact others Escape is currently in Service Ford Service reps have seen the toxic flakes and continue to ignore the seriousness and my health related problems. Would love to hear from another Escape owner with similar problem.

29960 mi   Dash lights and radio would blink on and off. Dealer changed a part and car was fixed in approx. one hour after also doing the regular maintenance. 
32000   Sync voice recognition malfunctoned - no longer identified the names in my phone book. Unable to make outgoing calls unless memorized number - I live in a hands-free State. A module was replaced to rectify the problem. 
43300 US $85 Fan not working on speed 1 or 2. Blower Motor Resistor was replaced, fixing the problem. 
44700   AC was not working. Standard AC check by dealer revealed that an internal part had disinigrated and spread plastic chunks throughout the system rendering it inoperable and only repairable through replacement of entire system. 
8720   Ford "CODE" Alarm system and remote starter keeps false alarming at all hours for no reason. Ford dealership says all Escape vehicles have this problem with the Ford alarm system (installed at the dealership). Replacing at my cost. 
8060   SYNC USB stopped working. Dealer removed fuse and re-set the system 
4000   Built-in microphone for SYNC system not picking up voice commands, voice could barely be heard on SYNC connected phone calls. Found TSB on-line related to this and provided copy. Dealer ordered parts. Parts installed to fix SYNC microphone.

70000 mi US $50 HVAC blower motor not working on speeds 1 and 2. Blower motor resistor replaced by CarMax service. Only charge was $50.00 deductible on CarMax MaxCare extended service agreement. 
75000 US $6000 Replaced entire AC system - Dessicant container broke and spread powder throughtout system causing AC to shut down and not work properly
