2004 Ford Focus Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by ujkhello

Powertrain performance
With the 2.3l engine, it gives enough passing power, especially when not in overdrive mode. Good torque at low RPMs.
Handling
Point and shoot. Best in class handling.
Controls and instruments
Very easy to use. Large clear dials. No buttonitis like in many European cars.
Price or payments
Not only is the sticker price on a used or new Focus low, the parts are low too. Dramatically lower than Euro or Japanese cars. For example, a Focus 30K service is around $200-$250. A Subaru 30K service is $400-$500.
Fuel economy
Lower than expected (23-24mpg avg), but performance makes up for it.
Color choices
The colors are just off. Weird looking. Ford needs to learn how to make nice appealing rich dark blues like Honda and VW do. Ford has never been good on colors.
