Why the 2008 Ford Mustang?

Powertrain performance

This car offers 300 horsepower at a price that is affordable compared to other cars at this power level. The car makes wonderful power at low RPMs, and is a great car for driving spirited on the street.

Exterior styling

This car has a perfect blend of retro and modern styling. The car has design cues from the Mustangs of the 1960s, but it is not an "old" design. It still is modern and edgy. Even though the body style has been replaced, I still get compliments and

Handling

Although the Mustang is not a sports car, it is a good handling car from the factory. It pulls nearly 1G on the skid pad, and is the most balanced mustang ever produced. The car handles better then the majority of common cars on the road.

Safety & braking

The 2008 Mustang has a very high safety rating. All categories except for rear side impact were 5 star rated. The rear side impact rating is still 4 stars. The brakes on this car are good for street use. Front and side air bags are standard on 2008s.

Interior styling

The retro styling continues into the interior. Although the plastic interior panels aren't the greatest, the overall interior styling is very sharp. Sitting behind the wheel is a pleasure, and I really love the styling inside the car.

Why Not the 2008 Ford Mustang?

Rear seat room & comfort

There is very little rear leg room, but this car isn't meant to be a people carrier. It is nice that there are rear seats, but anyone that is not a small child will have a hard time sitting in the back.

Feature availability

This car is not as feature rich as other cars on the market. This isn't a big concern for me because I was more interested in the power and muscle car aspects of this car, and not the unnecessary features.
