Powertrain performance

Great response for motor size & car weight.

Handling

Best handling small car at $20k. Limited slip is great and should be huge benefit in winter too.

Driving position & visibility

Best drivers seating position & controls by far compared to any other small car. Dashboard style (speedo) is lame, but other controls are great.

Materials & workmanship

Every surface mates great - inside and out. A little too much flat plastic inside (Mazdaspeed3 is so much better use of plastic).

Quietness

Lot of road noise - more than I expected on the ratty NY interstates.
