2000 23 While at the dealer for an oil change (I like to get the first oil change early) I mentioned the voice control problem. The Tech looked at it and said it was fine. After a brief discussion I left the shop only to find that it no longer functioned. ...
6000 0 Genesis was returned for a reoccurring problem with the voice command system. Dealer did a number of firmware upgrades, but problem returned a few days later. Dealer currently working with the factory to find a solution.
7000 0 After a number of visits to the dealer, the factory has decided to install a new radio/navigation system. The part has been ordered, but because of availability no date has been set for delivery/installation.
8000 0 After waiting two weeks, went to dealer to ask status and was told they are waiting for a remanufactured radio. This implies that there are inherenet problems. Still waiting.
9000 0 Radio was replaced, but not enough time has passed to be sure the problem is resolved. However, I remain optimistic that the replacement will solve the voice command problem.
10000 50 My Genesis supposedly had the radio replaced, but after two weeks the problem resurfaced. Dealer states that they have no idea what to do and that I should talk to the Factory Rep. I will follow-up at some point. Appears they cannot fix the problem.
13000 0 Replaced Sub-Woofer to fix speaker rattle, problem fixed. Also replaced Bluetooth/DVD head to resolve voice command problem. New DVD unit does not perform correctly and the voice command problem persists. Scheduled to replace DIS control.
14300 0 DIS unit was replaced, but did not resolve the problem. Decided to stop pursuing a solution since the lease will expire in a few months. Hyundai did not seem to have the expertise to fix the problem, unfortunately.

1000 0 Rear driver door lock failed to open with push of unlock button or remote. The lever would move as though it received the signal, but couldnt complete the unlock movement. Dome light flashes on occasion similar to a flourescent bulb warming up or dying. Dealer ordered a replacement part but delivery took too long and I wanted my car back. The part has since arrived, will be installed on my next service appt
18000 0 Accordion cover on the sunroof mechanism glue wore off. Rattles from the dash area – fixed one but created another upon return of the car. Rear shocks also squeaked, dealer could not replicate… Dome light flickered… was replaced multiple times without solution.
