Discounts & incentives
At the time of purchase there was $2,000 for incentives and an additional $500 for graduate rebates. Topping it off was 0% financing for 48 months!
Interior styling
Completely overhauled in 2009. Very stylish and well thought out.....the soft blue backlighting is very appealing.
Would not have purchased if the 2008 interior had been held over.
Feature availability
When compared to the Accord EX-L I could purchase the Sonata Limited for nearly $5K less after incentives were applied. The cars were both rich in features which made it easy to pull the trigger.
Safety & braking
Firm and responsive braking, along with 5 star rating for crash safety.
Fuel economy
Best of breed fuel economy speaks for itself.
Depreciation
The only noticeable downside thus far is the vast depreciation in the first 12 to 24 months. If you plan on retaining the car for longer than 5 years, it becomes a moot point.
Materials & workmanship
Periodic "Rice Krispies" effect from the dash as cabin temperature warms. Materials are vastly improved from the 2008 model, but dash material seemingly expands as the cabin warms to room temperature...it ceases once room temperature is reached.
