Introduction

I really do love the Sonata - I love the Sonata 1 year later as much as when I first purchased it.

Why the 2013 Hyundai Sonata?

Exterior styling

Love the styling - love the light silver blue color.

Reliability & durability

I have owned several new cars in my life - the 2013 Sonata is the first car with Zero issues - zip zero zilch - in the first year of ownership. It just works perfectly each and every time.

Price or payments

Paid 25k for 2.4 L4 limited (nav and panoramic sunroof) that was fully loaded and compared to other similar models I think this was a steal of a deal.

Ride smoothness

Smooth as silk

Quietness

Very quiet - quietest car I have ever owned. Also, no squeaks, no clunks nor any other weird noises even after one year.

Why Not the 2013 Hyundai Sonata?

Fuel economy

I do a lot of rural driving and the MPG struggles to reach 22mpg. I really expected the mpg to be higher.

Handling

The car wanders a bit on the highway. Nothing can be done in 2013 model. The 2014 models may solve this issue with adjustable steering. However my wife is the primary driver and she does not notice.

Audio & nav systems

Nav system is Ok - but just ok. Make sure you play with it before considering to pay extra $$$.

Conclusion

The 2013 Sonata is simply a comfortable fun car to drive. Everything works as it should and after a year the car is still fun To drive.
