Why the 2004 Pontiac Vibe?

Exterior styling

I like the lines of the 2004 Vibe more than the Matrix. The Vibe is assembled in California. I like to keep Americans working and preserve the middle class. Yet I wanted the Toyota reliability.

Dealer practices

In 2006 both Toyota & Pontiac dealers in my area wanted to sell me a newer Vibe & Matrix than I could afford on the lot. I wanted to keep the price down and knew from Kelly Book that I could afford a 2004 so I had to search online myself to find the 2004.

Color choices

In 2004 the Copper/Orange Fusion color was available. I wish GM would bring this color back on the 2009 Vibe. Toyota Matrix is now available in Orange/Copper in 2009. It is so easy to find my car in big parking lots with so many GRAY CARS!

Front seat support & comfort

I have some hip pain so comfort is key. It is a higher seat than most sedans so it is easy to get in and out of the car. It is a VERY comfortable seat compared to my old Honda Civic and Subaru Outbacks. The Matrix is identical in positive seat comfort.

Cargo capacity

A hatchback is so easy to haul stuff from Loews. I can easily fold down the rear seats. It is such a tall opening that I fit a new clothes dryer in there! Standard luggage rack on top too. The Matrix is identical in this cargo capac but Vibe costs less.
