Cargo capacity
Not too large, not too small, enough to fit bikes, skis and various cargos.
Safety & braking
Despite being relatively small, it was rated as having very good safety, plus having all-wheel drive it provides excellent safety in all weather conditions.
Interior styling
The styling is functional and avoids being ultra flashy, gimmicky or ugly as in the case of Toyota.
Color choices
Choice of colors is not that large but the available colors are very good.
Materials & workmanship
The materials quality found throughout the cabin is extremely cheap. Hard plastics(creaks, rattles) are abound in the entire cabin - from doors, dashboard to seat cloths. There is luxury, there is good quality, there is average and then there is Subar
Past personal experience
Owned Impreza and had various issues from the start. Leaking under rain (had to replace seals in firewall), rattling, creaking due to missing screws, improperly installed insulation and etc, poor engine response.
Fuel economy
For such a small car with NA 170hp engine the economy is rather poor ~24mpg.
Driving position & visibility
Not much adjustment in the driving position. The passenger is forced to seat very low and face the glove box.
Audio & nav systems
The audio in Subaru is not average. It is outright below contempt in both in quality and quantity. Awfully underpowered, flat and with poor stereophonic experience it is a joke.
