Why the 2015 Subaru Outback?

Safety & braking

I really like the eyesight system. It's nice to have another set of eyes on the road at all times. It works really well.

Fuel economy

Consistently pretty good mileage. I generally get 30mpg mixed city and highway (more highway though)

Cargo capacity

I can sleep in the back and still fit a ton of stuff for road trips.

Ride smoothness

Really comfortable, even on long trips.

Why Not the 2015 Subaru Outback?

Audio & nav systems

I like most things about this carexceptfor the audio system (starlink). It glitches, crashes, and doesn't work in an intuitive or well-defined way. There are also 'features' that flat out don't work. Worst of all, there is no customer support or upgrades available for it.

Powertrain performance

It generally drives very nicely, but it does feel underpowered at times.

Conclusion

This is an excellent car overall, but the audio system is poorly designed and frustrating to use.
