2000 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons A member in British Columbia, Canada Handling is surprisingly good on the road. The previous owner installed a thicker 22mm rear sway bar, and the car has very little lean in turns. It's almost sporty. There is a bit of a hop over bumps that otherwise would only affect one wheel, so beefier bars do have... Comparison vehicle: 2003 Toyota Camry |

2015 Subaru Outback Review Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh The Outback handles more like a car than the typical crossover, so I initially considered listing handling among the reasons to buy one. But it handles less like a car than, well, a car. Compared to the Legacy it feels oddly high, and as if it might get tippy in... Comparison vehicle: 2015 Jeep Cherokee |
Great car with limited competition 2012 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member5316 Better than most SUV, still a big and relatively high car, so I feel crosswinds on occasion otherwise surprisingly nimble and corners better than expected. Driving on snow and sand is perfectly fine and always makes me happy I have this car. Ground clearance is great after the frequent storms... |

2010 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons A member in Maryland, United States Due to it's high clearance, it doesn't hug the road in sharp turns but I adapt my driving and it's not a problem. |

Love it after 4K miles... 2013 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member5623 After years of driving V6-powered SUVs, the handling of the Outback wagon is a huge improvement on curves and hills. Tight steering makes city handling especially nice and the the road manners on the interstate are good for road trips as well. |

2012 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member4974 Excellent handling for this type vehicle. |

2010 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons A member in North Carolina, United States Weak spot. We did not expect it to handle like our German car but it is weak in the turns, especially at speed in the mountains. |

2011 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member1986 The 2012 has much better steering feel and road isolation compared to out 2011. The car drives much more true and is very pleasant to drive long distances. |

2012 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member5453 Extremely good handling in both dry, wet and snow. It seems to thrive on snowy conditions going to my ski house. |

2011 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member5165 boaty. I hated the car from the first moment. I thought with the low center of gravity, they would be able to better than that. Even the Koreans have better road feel. When you turn and accelerate the nose noticeably "sloshes" side to side. |

2002 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member4847 good cornering and bump-handling |
|
2010 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons A member in Missouri, United States At highway speeds my 2010 Outback has a tendancy to wander and not "track" correctly on normal road surfaces. Highway driving requires constant attention. If I look away to (for example) check the radio, the car may not be where expected 2 seconds later. |
|
2010 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member3860 The AWD system is awesome. Nothing more to say here. Plus the ride hit makes it easy to get in and out of the vehicle. |
|
2009 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member3516 The car is very well balanced. The AWD and rugged suspension handle what ever you throw at it yet retain a level of ride comfort close to that of a big car without the big boat feel. |

2009 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member3130 Handles all weather and road conditions with ease. Corners well |

2003 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member3026 Tough little wagon that handles great in snow and other adverse weather conditions. |

2007 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member1003 The all-wheel drive sticks like glue even when the road is slick. |
|
2005 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member73 very stable and responsive, especially on a wet surface. |
