2010 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by *cosmichippo

Powertrain performance
The H6 engine in the Outback is noticably powerful. I preferred the IDEA of a "proven" (if only 1 year) conventional transmission over the CVT.
Materials & workmanship
In pre-purchase testing and research the Outback(s) seemed solid - panels and apparent components seemed to meet well and show quality fit and finish. The interior of my Ltd model, though conservative in design, was "a cut above" other vehicles I tested.
Handling
At highway speeds my 2010 Outback has a tendancy to wander and not "track" correctly on normal road surfaces. Highway driving requires constant attention. If I look away to (for example) check the radio, the car may not be where expected 2 seconds later.
