2000 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons A member in British Columbia, Canada The springs are harder than expected, as it's a tall wagon, and they have longer travel than a sedan's. Maybe I have aftermarket uprated springs. The ride is a little bumpy over rough roads, but never jarring. I enjoy it. If the road is rough you feel like you are... This was a surprise because ride quality was among the reasons I listed for buying the related Legacy sedan. While the Legacy's ride feels cushy yet controlled, the Outback's feels firm and jumpy. The midrange... Comparison vehicle: 2015 Jeep Cherokee |
Great car with limited competition 2012 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member5316 Good enough, could be smoother and eat the road but again compared to SUV it's a huge improvement, now if the could insulate this for noise... |

Love it after 4K miles... 2013 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member5623 Ride is compliant, but not buttery smooth. Tire pressure is especially important on this car due to relatively tight suspension setup on the 2013 and beyond Outbacks (significant tighter from 2012). |

2010 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member4941 I have over a mile of washboard, gravel road going to my house. The Outback dampens the shock of hitting these better than my 4WD P/U with larger tires and more suspension. Smooth and quiet and good, paved roads as well. |

2010 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons RM716 Stock tires are noisy, give impression of a less smooth ride. Jolts transmit loud noises into cabin. |
|
2010 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member3860 The car takes rough roads smoothly. You can hit potholes or rail road tracks and you barely notice. |

2008 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member917 The suspension is superb on this vehicle. I do wish, though, that the rear end had a little tighter sway bar, but I know I could have one installed. |

2005 Subaru Outback Pros and Cons Member98 Founder Not great, not terrible, it is acceptable given that it is an AWD Outback wagon. |
