Toyota Highlander and Nissan Rogue Lemon Odds and Nada Odds for the Year Ending Dec. 31, 2013
That said, the Lemon Odds figures are probably much lower than many people suspected, so we've posted them. Similarly, the Nada Odds are probably higher than many people suspected. Even with the least reliable cars in this results set your odds of no repairs would be better than one in three. Surprised? MethodologyThe samples include cars for which we have at least nine months of data in the past year. The "Nada-odds" are adjusted based on the average number of months of data per car. These stats are very close to what they'd be if we included only cars with a full year of data.
Only successfully completed repairs are currently included in the analysis. Recalls and problems fixed with just a reflash or warning light reset are not included.

|Brand Reputation of the Toyota Highlander: Pros|
|2009||4dr SUV 270-horsepower 3.5L V6
5-speed shiftable automatic AWD
|Toyotas are reputed to be bulletproof and that was our experience with a 1994 Previa minivan|
|2007||4dr SUV 208-horsepower 3.3L V6 Hybrid
|This is my 3rd Toyota/Lexus. What else can I say, they are great cars/appliances. Although not a styling icon, Toyota/Lexus knows how to build what most people want/need in a reliable good quality vehicle.|
|2006||4dr SUV 208-horsepower 3.3L V6 Hybrid
|Previous Toyota SUV lasted 25+ years with great performance and low maintenance. The new vehicle was the first affordable hybrid SUV available to the public.|
|2006||4dr SUV 215-horsepower 3.3L V6
5-speed automatic FWD
|Not much to say, Toyota has made great products. So many people I talk to discuss the fact that they have over 150K miles of maintenance only repairs.|
|2004||4dr SUV 230-horsepower 3.3L V6
5-speed automatic FWD
|Well...up until the issues with cars accelerating on their own their reputation was untarnished. Still...very few cars exhibit this trait so I still would buy another one.|
