2009 Volkswagen Jetta 4dr Sedan

170-horsepower 2.5L I5 6-speed shiftable automatic FWD

1000 mi Sticky brake pedal. Service advisor would not go with me for a ride. Said "they all do that," despite my trial of a like model on the lot that "didn't do that." Mechanic could not find a problem using his diagnostic machine.
2000 mi Visited a second dealer with a MUCH BETTER service dept. Service advisor drove car and recognized the problem. Mechanic found a faulty power brake booster. Part not in stock but was ordered. Brake pedal is sticky at the top of its travel. Dealer says its a characteristic not a defect. Offer was made to change to a new pedal assembly but that might make it worse. Original pedal may improve over time.
