Right tail light shorted- not just the bulb. The entire tail light was replaced
66000 mi Electrical system malfunction. Light control module (failed when I disconnected the battery) and tire pressure control module failed (on its own after heavy rain). $600 to replace and another $200 to code the car. Always something.
78000 mi

US $60
Rear Right taillight LED assembly failed (right before my inspection was due). One row was dead and the car was showing an error message. I found that the assembly is not repairable and ordered a new tail light assembly on Amazon for around $60. I think the OEM is $250+. Looks like these fail all the time considering the number of people that bought the aftermarket part. The other day I found that the light pipe LED is now dead on my other tail light so it looks like I am going to have to drop anther $60 to fix that. BMW is really letting me down as LED should last a million years if the circuits are properly designed. Chinese are getting a thumb up for making cheap knock off parts for the E90 platform. Rear Left tail light assembly also failed shortly after. Again bought knockoff China made part on Ebay for $52 and back in business. Hopefully these last longer than OEM and probably the car itself :)
