My 2011 Ecoboost FX4 has an auxiliary vacuum pump to keep the power brakes and 4WD working. It is electrically driven and prone to failure - Ford even has TSB on it where the dealer will replace it free under warranty. Problem is the dealer I'd wind up going to is terrible. Bought the part from Tasca parts online and did the repairs myself. Ford extended the warranty on the pumps for up to 10 years or 150k miles. Was worth the $400+ to keep my truck out of harms way (dealer screw ups). Truck is fine now. |

Brakes were vibrating when applied at greater than 30mph. Rotors we're also quite rusty. The truck is not driven often. Rotors and pads replaced. Pads were not moving easily on caliper brackets. Caliper slides moved just fine. |

The second time in less than a year. Both front calipers and hoses were replaced. The rear pads were replaced and rotors turned. |
