Engine began lurching at low RPM, usually in higher gear, about three months ago. Rough idle appeared with regularity a few weeks later. Used 3-4 rounds of fuel additives and replaced air filter and spark plugs myself; no improvement. Dealer diagnosed misfire on one piston. Ignition coil was identified as the cause by moving the coil to another spark plug; misfire was then detected on that piston. Replaced faulty ignition coil, both issues appear to be resolved. |
