184-horsepower 2.5L I4 6-speed shiftable automatic FWD

32000 mi Around 32,300 miles, while driving on freeway at 50MPH, car bucked and stopped shifting. Switching to manual mode showed only the letter M, but no number. Stopped at a lot, turned it off and on, manual mode was working again. Drove for a second and the check engine light, AT light and traction control light came on. Dealer repaired issue (reflashed ECUADOR and replaced transmission pressure sensors) under warranty.
7000 mi Replaced transmission pressure control solenoid under warranty
17300 mi Car slipped out of gear on freeway and threw a code. Dealer diagnosed as bad code, repaired with re-flash. TSB had been issued on the problem.

2015 Mazda Mazda6 4dr Sedan

184-horsepower 2.5L I4 6-speed manual FWD

15000 mi Transmission grinds. Fluid changed and full. No fix bad transmission.
68000 mi

US $500
3rd and 6th gear "broke" on 6mt transmission. Disappointing repair to have at 68k, but Mazda covered most of the cost of the repair. Good customer service.
86000 mi

US $300
6MT Transmission broke again. This time it was the secondary shaft. Dealer has been great and Mazda has covered all but $300 of repair , but the car has been in the shop for three weeks and having a transmission literally break twice in less than 12 months is disappointing to say the least. It may be time to trade this in for a different brand.
