| 20091 mi | Ram 1500 had low heat output when using heater. It took over half an hour for temperature to get comfortable enough to turn heat down from HI temp setting. This became noticeable in the below zero temps here in Minnesota. Center console was extremely cold--sometimes frost would form in the storage area. Dealer said thermostat was stuck in the open position. They also checked vents on center console for obstructions and checked for air leaks into the cabin (none found.) The repair took two days because they needed to allow the truck to completely cool down overnight and then they couldn't find a thermostat anywhere in the Twin Cities. Took them another day to find the thermostat for the V6 engine. Heat output is improved but not as good as in previous winters. For this reason I'm putting down repair not successful. |
