Car began hesitating, clunking into gears and felt like it was going to die. Caused by a wiring harness that is part of a new recall. Parts for the recall are not available for another month so dealer made repairs to the harness instead.
Gas smell in car and in garage. PCV hose replaced per TSB

Turbo Charge Air Cooler Replaced
Check engine light on, loud thumping/flatulence sound from the rear of the car. Gas filler tube assembly gasket released gas tank pressure, dealer re-seated the gasket and couldn't reproduce the noise.
Check engine light was on, car had difficulty starting after refueling. Expected symptom after previous problem could not be reproduced- dealer said vent valve failure was likely with time, but driving was safe. Should wait until repeatable.
Turbo cooler hose failed
initial road trip with car, on the freeway, intermittent odd noise coming from rear of vehicle. After 10 minutes, attempted to pull over and check, vehicle died on exit ramp and would not start for several minutes. Same problem as previous. Strange sound, Stall, no start. Started engine using process to start a flooded engine. Shop could not duplicate. Same symptoms as above. I diagnosed the issue based on knowledge of recall on Mazda vehicles. (Spider egg sac in gas tank purge line.) Noise car was making was vacuum in gas tank caused by faulty purge control valve.
Pop sound in exhaust. Repaired as per TSB.
Intermittent rough idle
Engine light came on, dealer could not fine a problem, it happened again. After restart engine light went out both times. Car ran fine after
changed the muffler according to Ford's SSM concerning the "ping sound" at cold start.
The escape kept stalling all of a sudden with message : engine problem. service now. . Then after re-ingnition it would be fine for a couple of days. Took it to Ford where they performed TSB 13-12-12, changing wires.
The heat shield over the muffler and catalytic converter tore loose due to poor design and had to be replaced.
coolant was low. they found a loose hose clamp. pressure held for 1 hr afterwards
Service engine light came on day after purchase and wouldn't clear thy checked codes and replaced the coolent bypass solenoid , checked the system and cleared the codes repair done under warranty

Low coolant warning. Replace water pump. Engine hesitation and raving.
Check engine light with service engine warning. Engine goes into limp mode. Reset on restart. 8 times in month. Wire harness splices repaired.

Odor of coolant after driving. Had to replace degas tank to correct. POOR MPG's. Advertised as 30mpg highway. Never better than 23. Ford knows of issue and will come out with a re-flash for the engine software this summer. That is what I was told by dealer.
Coolant odor. 3rd trip into shop they decided water pump defective. Dealer performed recall for cooling system also. Dealer also replaced exhaust system due to popping noise when starting engine cold in morning. They also flashed computer
Low coolant warning light appeared. Dealer replaced leaking water pump. The vehicle claimed it was overheating and would not move. Towed to dealer, and they couldn't find a problem. They topped off the coolant and returned the car to me.
Car vibrates incredibly when at a standstill when in Drive, or Reverse. When in neutral or park it doesn't vibrate at all. Ford says they can't do anything about it. Seems like a drivetrain issue but Ford is ignoring. Only present on 1.6L.
replaced leaking water pump, along with recall for overheating.
Suddenly the main screen displayed "Engine failure" and the engine became extremely weak. They ran some diagnostics but couldn't find a cause, it fixed itself. It looked like overheating to me. Rescheduled for a software reset next Tuesday. Engine failure warning, no acceleration, diagnosed as acceleration body failure, sensors not reporting back to main computer. Repair delay due to replacement part shipping and testing.
