It gave me the payment i needed while still providing most of the things i need in a small sedan.

Reliability & durability

The Duratec 20 is a well made and reliable engine. Paired with the 5 speed manual transmission i should never have a trans failure for the life of the car.

Fuel economy

Unconfirmed reports have stated people getting up to 39 miles per gallon highway with the 5 speed. This is very appealing to me as gas prices will rise again.

Handling

It is sure footed and secure even with the 15 inch tires. The car is very easy and predictable to drive.

Insurance cost

Insurance is competitive for its class. Depreciation is fair.

Rear seat room & comfort

Due to the lack of rear seat room, you must slide the front seats forward to prevent a child from kicking their feet on the back of the seats. Only a booster seat with the front seats forward will minimize this problem.

Feature availability

It is the lack of standard features i have a problem with. Abs is an option? There is no EBD? There are no visor extenders? There is no lit glovebox? There is no standard cruise control? Come on now. At this price they should come standard.

Ride smoothness

The ride becomes very jumpy with just one person in the car over bumpy pavement. There are times the right rear will jump to the side slightly when the pavement becomes too unsettled.

Color choices

There are simply not enough choices. Plus most of the colors available are dull and have a cheap looking finish to them.
