Why the 2006 Ford Focus?

Discounts & incentives

At the time that I bought the car, March, 06 the car was discounted $4,000 by factory incentives and discounts plus dealer discounts. the car had a sticker price of $17,700 and I paid $12,700.

Price or payments

I git a brand new, Top trim level, loaded car with Power everything, 6 disc CD/Mp3, ABS, Traction control, handling package for under $13,000.

Reliability & durability

In the 35 months since I bought the car, I have put more than 60,000 miles on it. The car has never been back to the dealer for service. Since I have owned it, I have only changed the oil and replaced the tires.

Powertrain performance

The 2 liter PZEV rated engine provides smooth torque from around 2000 rpms on up. I can go as slow as 25 mph in 5th gear and the car will still accelerate. At a mere 2 liters, this engine performs llike the V8 and V10 engines in my larger Ford trucks.

Why Not the 2006 Ford Focus?

Exterior styling

Not much to say here. I think the car is ugly. The interior is nice and when I drive it, the car looks fine through the windshield.

Dealer practices

I was not happy with the dealer. They did work hard to get my car, but I feel that they are too pushy with all the extra stuff, extended warranty, paint protection, etc.
