When placing the car in gear a loud grinding noise would start. My son diagnosed the problem. Purchased the Door lock regulator at the honda dealer for $48.00
51000 mi Not fixed. The screen glitches out - the last time it occurred it started by skipping songs on around on iTunes and when I removed the phone from the cable the iTunes played just fine, however the screen kept glitching and changed it from nothing/apple play to the radio. I have researched this and it seems to be an ongoing issue without a fix and Honda unfortunately has not issued a recall or provided an actual fix for this. I am grateful I don't have the fuel in the gas but this is rather freaky when driving.
2000 mi Info display started blinking on and off for several minutes. Brightness control was jumping all around to different settings. Only way to stop the issue was to stop the vehicle and reset by turning it off. Honda is aware of the issue, but has not issued a software fix despite the problem occuring on multiple CRVs for the last year and a half.
52000 mi 2nd battery change on vehicle. Battery replacement interval appears to be 2 years.
461 mi Front camera failure. When camera fails cruise control, lane keep assist also stop working.
32000 mi replaced condenser and recharge, under warranty.

turbocharged 190hp 1.5L I4 CVT AWD

4000 mi The vehicle no longer will link to Android Auto app on phone. Also issue with automatic door locks. Update. This only took a reset. Disconnected battery for a few minutes.
3720 mi Tire pressure warning light on but no leak. They reset the sensor.
11000 mi Infotainment intermittently won't boot with car start requiring car shut off/restarted. Had to complete a soft reboot because infotainment froze. Intermittent warning that power was lost has occurred. Dealer says problem too intermittent to fix. Hot soak fuel type smell occurs after vehicle fully warmed up, shut off for 5 to 45 minutes, restarted. Smell comes through ventilation and is noxious. In certain situations smell present during extended idle when vehicle fully warmed up. Dealer appointment was day temp was -26 air temp and of course I wasn't able to replicate and neither was dealer. Vehicle was remotely started. Within one minute of remote start I entered vehicle and depressed pedal and pushed start button taking vehicle out of remote start loop. I immediately exited vehicle with engine running and the doors locked as they are programmed to when I walk away with key. Upon return engine was running, doors locked but I was not able to unlock door with key fob. Warning on dash "keyless remote not detected". I had to find second key fob to unlock doors. After shutting engine off the first key fob worked again.
10000 mi Security system....I had a failing lock sensor that resulted in the security alarm triggering intermittently. In addition, the remote start, locking confirmation beep, and the 'walk away auto lock' feature stopped working. It turned out to that the sensor on my hood latch was failing resulting in the security system thinking the hood was open. Replaced under warranty.
9000 mi Rear radar loom replaced
200 mi Automatic high beam system didn't work. Dealer corrected the problem. It had something to do with adding fuses during dealer prep while the engine was running. They put out a TSB on how to fix the problem, which they did. It was a matter of pulling a specific fuse, waiting a few minutes, and replacing it. I was at the dealer for about an hour and a half while they figured it out. Traffic did not work in navigation system. Head unit replaced to correct the problem
8000 mi Hands-free tailgate function (kick to open) stopped working. Dealer had to reset some code involving the doors. Function is restored and working properly again. Under warranty.
5621 mi Software update
1000 mi The night after taking home the car we noticed the A/C was not cold. Report from the dealer after repairs there was no refrigerant in the system. They charged it and checked for leaks. No leaks were found.
1500 mi Leaks in all the hoses and fittings
34000 mi Sensor for ACC was calibrated.
35000 mi After 2 days the problem returned with the ACC, this disabled the traction control and Cruise control. Same repair done, sensor was calibrated again.
1000 mi Information display (radio, gps and other functions) blanked out for 3 minutes, during this time radio played but could not change volume or stations. Computer system was rebooted by dealer.
3000 mi Headlight bulb failed
2000 mi Battery was dead. Honda service gave it a jump start and the dealer replaced the battery.
15000 mi Navigation screen would continuously reset until car was turned off and restarted.
6820 mi car stone dead - after working fine earlier in the day, and the day before that, and the day before that... flat decked to dealer, said battery was dead (I think there's some other mystery, but so far, so good)
200 mi The automatic high beam function was not working. Car required a reboot to enable the function.
10500 mi Collision avoidance system acted when it shouldn't have, dealer downloaded new software
58000 mi

US $300
carplay connection
17000 mi Infotainment screen kept turning on and off. Replaced screen under warranty
13000 mi Backup camera was "stuck" on and then wouldn't work at all. Dealer rebooted the car's "computer" and now it is working fine, once again.
7500 mi Lights in both passenger and driver sunvisors did not turn on when opened. Visors were replaced.
4000 mi Centers head unit video screen would flicker or go completely out. Diagnosed on first trip in February 2017 as intermittent, Honda dealer contacted Honda Tech who authorized replacement head unit. Finally replaced a year later.
42000 mi Passenger airbag reclall
900 mi Four way lumbar support control was only working in and out not up and down. Dealer replaced control and corrected problem. Light in driver's side vanity mirror flickered on and off. Dealer replaced entire visor and corrected problem.
21000 mi Service Bulletin 19-066. Display's screen would dim or go dark. Turn off and on by itself. Brightness control would flash on and off and change brightness on its own. Dealership updated as per 19-066 - no charge. Display would turn off and on. Brightness control would go lighter and darker on its own. Referenced Service Bulletin 19-066 and dealership updated software at no charge. So far update seems to have fixed the issue.

6613 mi false error codes being reported due to malfunctioning sensors. Second trip today, a third trip scheduled. Sensors are giving false errors - one is the "engine" symbol (in red), which covers many codes - in this case the code indicated a problem with fuel intake system. Later, a "check fuel cap" error. Apparently they are connected errors. Jan 3rd is the second visit re. this. Not resolved, scheduled for next week for full day to follow up.

Dealership unable to find problem told to come back when light turns back on.

31000 mi The car was dropped off for an oil change and tire rotation, etc. When I returned to pick up the car I was told that the battery had failed test and needed to be replaced. As I had had the battery replaced under warranty less than a year before, I asked what kind of problem and I had not had any difficulty starting the vehicle. They showed me the "test results", everything was fine except the battery temperature was noted to be 111 degrees F. As the battery was a warranty replacement they told me the cost would be $140.00, i.e., no warranty. First of all I pointed out that the outside temp was about 89 degrees and the engine compartment was surly somewhat over 100 degrees as a base line. They insisted that the battery failed and they strongly recommended I spend $140 as the battery had failed. That was 3 weeks ago and still no problems at all with the battery. I complained to the service department and they said they had to go by the test results. How about the warranty, I asked. I had not paid for the battery, therefor no warranty was, well, warranted. I informed them that I would be taking the vehicle to another shop, one that used their heads rather than a rule book....

53000 mi Car has had a history of A/C problems since purchased brand new. Discharge takes much longer after the first few repairs, but the remaining leak is so small that it is difficult to detect and it takes awhile for the A/C to be completely empty of refridgerant. After several repair attempts since vehicle was purchaseed, the problem has not been completely fixed.

As a result, my key fob would not lock the doors (because it won't lock if it senses a door is open). For whatever reason, shutting the door was not depressing the plastic arm enough. I "repaired" this by gluing a plastic furniture pad (the kind you would put under the legs of a chair or table to protect the floor) to the arm so that closing the trunk door would depress it enough to turn off the sensor. So far so good!
