I need to haul long items and occassionally tow heavy trailers for work. It is a diesel and for 136,000 miles I have averaged 17.8 mpg. 2005	4dr SUV, ext. 310-horsepower 6.8L V10 4-speed automatic RWD	I know what it got. It is efficient for what it is. Compared to their smaller, less capable vehicles it gets "bad" mileage.
