Why the 2005 Honda Pilot?

Reliability & durability

All normal, scheduled maintenance requirements are easily performed my the owner. Abundant DIY and How-to papres on the internet. Most parts available on the internet at 1/2 dealer price.

Interior styling

Many useful pockets, cup holders, compartments, and cubby holes. Most controls and cockpit ergonomics(sp?) well thought out.

Feature availability

The AWD Pilot has great utility and many features common in more upscale brands, - 8 passenger comfortable seating, Heated seats, Cell phone holder and optional dock, AWD works well

Why Not the 2005 Honda Pilot?

Ride smoothness

OEM tyres are bottem of the line and poor ride quality. All Pilot models 2003-2008 exhibit slight pull to the right. Many Pilot models 2003-2008 have chassic vibration above 68 MPH. Honda Corporate says "Characteristic of the vehicle"

Quietness

Honda Pilot allow excessive tyre road noise into the cockpit. Changing tyres does not help. Although the ride is comfortable, the noise is very trysome on long drives.
