2009 Hyundai Genesis Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by jpq1999

Feature availability
This is the nicest car I have ever owned in 30 years of driving. I am a "value" buyer, and in reearching for a new car, the Genesis offered the most value for my money-by a wide margin. Comparabble cars were $10-$20K more, but had a "name".
Price or payments
Total cost of my 27 month lease + buyout will be roughly $44K ($10K less than buying upfront and financing)
Interior styling
love the leather dash, comfortable, speacious leather (front/back), HUGE rear leg room, control console, basically everything
Materials & workmanship
so far extremely impressed
Powertrain performance
VERY powerful when going from 30 or 40 to 60 or 70.
Fuel economy
Others say they are getting the 18 to 24 MPG claimed. I find that when I do 80% "suburban driving" (strip malls, lights, in/out of car, etc), I get 16 at best. When I am doing 80 on the highway w/ cruise control, I get 23-26.
Powertrain performance
Only issue is the "learned" throttle response over time when pulling out into traffice (to save gas!). My Mercedes does the same thing
