Car didn't want to start on initial try, then started as if a low battery. Gauge cluster lit up nearly all warning lights, parking brake warning light stayed on, there was a warning that upon finding it in the manual, was to not drive the car at all. Took it to dealer, they charged battery and performed systems checks. They said everything is fine, that the errors were related to a low voltage situation.

Retaining clip for drivers sun visor had broken, so that was replaced under warranty. Paint is chipping very badly and at very low mileage. There are noticeable chips, specks, scratches, and more all over the car. The red paint scratches if you look at it wrong. That ain't normal. Dealer inspected the problem and said they would open a case with Mazda corporate. I haven't heard anything since, so I should probably follow up on that.

Technology safety system is totally dependent on the upper factory installed windshield camera. If it's view is obscured in any manner the rest of the safety features such as collision avoidance, smart braking, lane assist will no longer function. In section 4 page 148 of the owner's manual this is stated, but the sales people don't mention this during the buying process. So during a snowstorm, heavy rain, fog, morning dew or some bird poops on the windshield some of your "special" safety features of the technology package will not work, and Mazda doesn't consider this to be a defect. The 19 inch tires that come with the vehicle are suppose to be top end tires. After 2,500 Kms they are developing "flat" spots. Let the car sit over night and when you start out in the morning you have a thump, thump, thump for about 10 Kms until the tires warm up.

Mazda would not honour my paint warranty because I was 20 days (20-24?) late reporting it. The problem had been ongoing for months but I was not wanting to go in for C-19 worries. A dealer rep even admitted that this was a reported Mazda problem (to thin a coat applied to a number of CX-5 vehicles).

Windshield repair. Made problem worse by adding another chip ... within two weeks this chip it developed into a large crack across the windshield. I think they dropped a tool on the window when repairing/patching the small chip ... and they would NOT own up to it - Kramer Mazda.
